We have provided spay/neuter services for 52 animals with two grants
We have held vaccine clinics in all of the towns in the County
The Doniphan County Pet Rescue applied for and received our 501(c)3 designation after our formation in 2020. Prior to that, Doniphan County, Kansas had no official organization that addressed the needs of homeless pets. Kind-hearted individuals did what they could. In our short history, we have become and remained licensed in Kansas as a shelter, acquired a property, offered free vaccine clinics, hosted online auctions and other fundraising events, raised awareness by participating in parades, helped countless lost pets be reunited with their owners, and helped for 309 homeless pets, all while operating without any paid employees and solely on donations.
